Aftercare
Remember, a tattoo is an open woundFor Second Skin:
Second skin can be worn for 3-5 days; however if you experience any irritation take it off immediately. You can shower with second skin but do not submerge in water, swim or sauna
* pooling of ink, blood and plasma under the plaster is normal and completely fine, you can leave the second skin on as long as it isn’t leaking. If it does begin to leak please remove it as it is no longer sealed.
After the 3-5 days, remove the second skin under warm water and wash excess ink and plasma away with mild (ideally unscented) soap.
Dry with a clean cloth or paper towel and apply a thin layer of tattoo cream or cocoa butter. Start washing and moisturising 2-3 times a day.
It is very normal for a healing tattoo to appear flaky and to feel itchy, DO NOT itch the tattoo as it can pull the ink out and ruin the tattoo.
* do not over moisturise or apply too thick of a layer of cream as this can cause issues with healing.
Avoid heavy exercise that causes excess sweating for at least 3-4 days and avoid weight lifting that targets muscles under fresh tattoos until scabbing has gone away.
Avoid submerging in water for a minimum of 3 weeks, longer if the top layer of skin isn’t healed over.
Once healed, be sure to apply sunscreen whenever your tattoo is exposed to the sun. If the tattoo needs a touch up once it’s healed, I am happy to offer 1 free touch up. We can set up an appointment after 6-8 weeks.

For Cling Film:
Please remove it within 3-4 hours and then it in the shower. DO NOT re-wrap the tattoo, be sure to wear clean clothes over the top of the tattoo.
Wash it twice a day but do not moisturize for the first 2 days. Start moisturizing on day 3 and follow the rest of the instructions listed above. <3
